Research Interests and experience

I have taken part in research on ceramic materials, semiconductor light-emitting materials, magnetic materials and cement based composite materials for many years. During my research work, I focus on the structure and performance of the materials, including mechanical properties, thermal performance, electric properties, optical performance, et al. At present, my main research subjects are quantum dots, magnetite (Fe3O4), the utilization of solid waste and exploration and research of solar polysilicon. I am particularly interested in combining ZnSe based quantum dots with magnetic Fe3O4, then synthesizing magnetic fluorescence composite nanoparticles as an antitumor drug carrier. This composite nanoparticles poss magnetic separating and fluorescent tracer dual function; their performance and a range of application are far more than a single function of nanoparticles. It can be performed on a molecular level of biological detection and isolation and apply a variety of imaging modes, that is fluorescence imaging, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and confocal laser scanning microscopy. I am also good at using solid waste (such as steel slag and mineral waste residue) as a raw material for cement production. I have gotten the systemic training for synthesis, characterization, theory and application of the relative subjects.
