Vice President of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences visited UJN

On March 29th, Harder·Feldmeier, the Vice President of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and his party came to visit our school.

Liu Yingchun, the Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission of UJN met the visitors on behalf of the school, and the principal of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Department of Information Management, School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, School of Information Science & Engineering attended the meeting. Liu Yingchun, the Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission showed the appreciation and warm welcome to the Mr. Harder·Feldmeier and his party, and introduced the basic information of teaching and research, personnel training, social service, international development and other aspects. She said, our school attached great importance to improving the international level, and promoting the project of students exchange, credits transfer, and joint degrees granted with foreign universities. At present, the “3+1+2”project cooperated with Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences maintains good momentum for further development, and the feedback of students are positive. We hope our schools can carry out the deep cooperation of teachers, students, research and other aspects in areas of common interest, based on the existing cooperation projects. Through the joint efforts, we will implement the cooperation and exchange projects as soon as possible.

Harder·Feldmeier introduced the Germany higher education system and the basic situation of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences. He said, 10 students of UJN have participated in the “3+1+2” project from 2014, and whose solid theoretical foundation and practical attitude, praised by the teachers and students. We hope we can exchange and learn from each other in the field of dominant specialties of both side, particularly in strengthening the research cooperation and academic exchanges of teachers and students in the aspect of embedded systems engineering.

Subsequently, the principals of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Department of Information Management, School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, School of Information Science & Engineering have a talk with the foreign guests on the further development of existing cooperation projects and the specific directions for future collaboration.

After the talks, Harder·Feldmeier met and communicated with students and teachers of School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering. The visitors introduced the general situation of Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences and the implementation status of the “3+1+2”project, and they had a detailed explanation of the problem that the teachers and students concerned with.

In January 2014, University of Jinan and Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences signed the Friendly Cooperation Agreement. According to the agreement, junior student of school of Electrical Engineering and Automation, School of Information Science and Engineering or School of Mechanical Engineering (students have mastered the knowledge of electronic circuit and single chip microcomputer) can be exchanged to Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences for a years. After graduated from UJN and get the Bachelor degree, the students can continue the study in Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, and will get the master diploma after graduation.

        Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences is a public University, which established in 1975 in Bremen. The school's educational tradition can be traced back more than 100 years ago. The school's curriculum and its teaching and research activities are mainly based on practical needs and the employment of students. The school offers professional courses related to technical and economic aspects, including engineering, management, economics, science, agriculture, literature, medicine and so on.
