UJN President Attend the University Presidents' Forum of Mainland and Taiwan

    On Oct.24, UJN President Chen Xin attended the university Presidents'forum of mainland and Twaiwan in Yantai, Shandong Province,where President Chen made a speech. 


    In the speech, President Cheng Xin proposed to build a batch of local high level universities full of vitality and energy; it is not only the inevitable demand of optimizing higher education structural layout and building higher education powerful country, but also the internal need of increasing higher education overall quality and promoting the regional economic and social coordinated development; the university would lead high level university building with diversification strategy, focus on leading complete credit system, adopt the upgrade of talent quality as the core, deepen the education teaching reform work; fully implement the strategy of revitalizing university with talents, build the stereo teachers development system; deepen the management system reform with university and college two-level, college as the entity; through upgrading the school substance, system and spiritual culture quality, exploring the school multi-culture innovation mechanism, inject inexhaustible motive force into school sustainable development.

    During the meeting, President Cheng Xin and presidents of some Taiwanese universities deeply communicated with higher education reform and development, university governance and talent cultivation, interschool cooperation of universities across Taiwan Straits, exchanged the views, signed the friendly cooperation agreement with Taiwan DAYEH University and Diwan University.

    The presidents, experts and scholars from over 50 institutions of higher learning across Taiwan Straits attended the university Presidentsí» forum and science technology seminar across Taiwan Straits this year.

   Responsible persons of office of University of Jinan, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs Office, Education and Psychological Science Institute, teachers of Higher Education Research Institute participated in the forum.
