The Deputy Director of Griffith University Visited UJN

        On March 24th, Professor Owen, the Deputy Director of International Affairs of Engineering Department of Griffith University in Australia visited our school. The related officials of International Cooperation and Exchange Department, School of Resource and Environment, School of Information Science and Environment of University of Jinan, held talks with the foreign guests.

        During the convention, the two sides introduced the basic situation of the respective schools, and held extensive and in-depth discussions on the cooperation project about students, teachers and other aspects. According to discussions, University of Jinan and Greenfield University planned to launch the undergraduate-postgraduate united training project in the form of "3+1+1" or "4+1", and the Summer Student Exchange Program in the major of Environmental Engineering, Information Engineering, Software Engineering and so on. Meanwhile, Greenfield University planned to receive the teachers from University of Jinan for visiting or training, and send the Professor of Engineering Department to our school to do lectures at the right time to strengthen bilateral academic exchanges.

        Griffith University is an Institution of Higher Education, which constructed and invested by the Australian Federal Government in 1971.

        There are six campuses at present, including Nathan, Mount Gravatt, Gold Coast Campus, Logan, Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Queensland College of Art. They are located in the scenic Brisbane and Gold Coast. More than 45,000 students study in this school. 

        Except the traditional strengths in teaching and learning research like environmental science and Asian studies, the courses such as Music, Hotel Management and Business are also recognized as premier courses in Australia.

        In recent years, Griffith University established its dominance of teaching and learning research in Australia in the area of biological science, information technology, multimedia art and so on.
